What does it mean to post bail?

Bail is cash or a cash equivalent that an arrested person gives to the court.

How do I pay for bail?

There are two ways to pay your bail. You may either pay the full amount of the bail or you may use a bail bondsman to post a bond. You can usually buy a bail bond for about 10% of the full amount of the bail. This premium is the bond seller's fee for taking the risk that you won't appear in court. Once the bail is posted, this fee is non-refundable.

What do I need to bond someone out of jail?

You will need the fee (usually about 10% on bonds up to $5000, and about 7% on bonds over $5000.), a cosigner, and possibly some collateral.

Do I get the fee back after the court appearance?

No. The fee is not refundable.

I have a warrant and don’t have a cosigner. Can you still bond me out?

Possibly. Call us to discuss your specific situation. Each case is different, and there are many variables to consider.

What territory do you cover?

We cover all of Connecticut, including Greater Hartford, Northeastern CT, Parts of New Haven County, and the Shoreline communities.
